Gather is an intimate portrait of a growing movement amongst Indigenous Americans to reclaim their spiritual and cultural identities through obtaining sovereignty over their ancestral food systems, while battling against the historical trauma brought on by centuries of genocide.

课上能不能多看纪录片，挺动人的故事，感觉更理解了一点food sovereignty，apache的故事总感觉在做广告，之前不知道indeginous community的生存困境造成了高酗酒吸毒自杀率

3.5 拍摄手法特别像大学课堂材料和Oxfam机构的教育片。虽然内容涉及了很多关于如何与自然如何共处，Apache原住民的自然生态和文化生态如何维护等众多详细的元素，但都是点到为止，没有深入探讨未来的可能性，选取的事例依旧是原住民里通过教育走向世界的“佼佼者”，而那些大多数该何去何从？作为食物人类学，生物人类学，Native American Studies...的课堂教材倒是不错。ps，亚利桑那州是真的美！
